Meet Katosharen

Where Self-Care Meets Empowerment

About Me

Hi, I’m Katosharen Washington, a licensed Advanced Cosmetologist with over 19 years of hands-on experience — but my work goes far beyond the salon chair. I’m also a mentor and advocate who believes in nurturing the whole person. Through self-care, haircare, and heart work, I help children, teens, and families step into confidence, clarity, and healing.

I created this space to serve everyone, but I specialize in a very special community: foster and adoptive families, young people navigating life transitions, and those who often find themselves in the “gray areas”—the in-between spaces where people feel unsure, unseen, or unsupported. My goal? To fill those gaps with compassion, care, and practical tools to thrive.

My Mission

To empower and encourage young people and their families by teaching self-care through hair care, building self-esteem, and offering transitional life coaching. My work helps clients build healthier relationships, better understand themselves, and create routines and goals that support growth.

My Why

I’ve seen firsthand what happens when young people don’t have the tools—or the trust—to ask for help. That’s why I operate in the “gray areas,” offering a brave, safe space to talk about what’s hard, learn how to cope, and celebrate every small victory.
